In the picture I have chosen a man who is wearing a black suit which he is looking determined because he is building a bridge/dock of wooden panels. But the thing that is so different about this photo is he is building this on a lake just full of water. There are ripples in the water from him hammering on the wood panels. The picture is in black and white.
It’s kind of a leading lines picture because the only thing in the picture is the man with the part of the bridge he has already built and the water with a blank grey sky. The bridge sort of looks unsteady. It seems as if he might be trying to get out of the place that he is at. Trying to escape. It seems impossible what the man is trying to do. He seems desperate to leave, to build a bridge like his.
He is the main emphasis because he’s right in the middle and wearing black which is a contract compared to the lighter grey tones in the lake and sky. I like this picture I think it just stands out and is very different. The thing they could have done different is maybe give him a destination that his bridge leads to.
